New Time-Lapse

This one didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped. The sun caused some harsh shadows and you can only make out half of it. Oh well, it was fun processing it.

I think my next purchase regarding my camera is going to be a Pclix. As of right now, I’m tied to my laptop for any sort of time lapse, hence this was shot from the back of my car, with defroster and wiper in full view and my laptop on the backseat.
Shot from 6pm to 9pm at 5 second intervals, with my Nikon D80 and my Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens, rendered through Adobe After Effects @ 10 Frames Per Second.

For obvious reasons.

The best part for me is the shadow of the tree just to the right.

Kitchen Sink light

I walked into the kitchen to do the dishes, and I liked the light coming in from the backyard onto the counter and sink.

Thought I would share it with you.

I saw a commercial for Dark Chocolate M&M’s this morning that was a take on the Adam’s Family, and it got me all excited for Halloween. The month of October is like the best time of year for me. I love scary movies, love the ad’s on TV, Elvira, and costumes…oh yeah, and Halloween is my birthday.

Mashing on the Motorway: The Remix

Since my newly acquired knowledge of Adobe After Effects, I decided to redo this little time lapse, by ramping up the FPS to 30 and changing the song. It went from 1:45 to 20 seconds.

Target Parking Lot: Updated

I took this picture a while back and decided to update it with a new one with a higher F-Stop.

Chad told me that if you shoot closer to F22 that it makes the street lights have that Star effect, while 50 told me go ahead switch the style up, and if they hate then let ‘em hate and watch the money pile up. That might be a little over your head, but don’t worry you can catch on later.

Here is the update at an F16 stop:

See, all the street lights look like stars. Not the one’s in Hollywood, but the ones we used to draw in art class in the 3rd grade. The things that I keep learning about photography just keep amazing me.

Also, Steve & his wife Jen told me that this old picture I took of the EMB in S.F. looked a little fake, or at least it look like I saturated the sky a little. I took it as a compliment actually. Thank you Grambau’s!

That’s 100% untouched.

Also, I’m way overdosed on Vimeo & LCD Sound System right now. I love everything about that site and the Sound of Silver album.

Mowing the Lawn

When I was a younger I use to love mowing the lawn, aside from the fact it seemed like a manly thing to do, my parents would flow me a few bucks and then I would skate off to Music+ on Brookhurst & McFadden and buy whatever tape I wanted. I’d hit up a few skate spots on the way home, get dirty, sweaty and have a blast.

Nowadays I don’t get to skate to Music+, they went under. Also, I went 100% digital sometime last year and haven’t bought a cd since.

My Sister in Law Tami gave me a copy of Adobe Soundbooth CS3 and I’ve been trying to edit songs to upload with these Quicktime movies. Everytime I do, they always come out choppy on Vimeo. So I’m testing new methods..

I foolishly left Auto-Focus on.

Inspired by Pineapple Express I chose to use
Public Enemy – Lost At Birth as the song. The next 2 Photo-Motion’s I do will have a Hip Hop song.

My Favorite Song Right Now

LCD Soundsystem – North American Scum

I’m aware of how old the song is, but with me hearing it in the Stepbrothers movie commercial, it made me want to listen to it again. Great album.

Also, I got the new Conor Oberst album, and it’s way Country, but it is much better than Cassadaga is, and I’ve listened to it about 4 times now. I’d give it a B+.
