I tried my best to get to see The Dark Knight on opening day, and I was very unsuccessful.
Below are pictures from the line for the movie at South Coast Plaza’s beautiful Metro Pointe movie theater.
People were lining up for the midnight show at 7pm, and I would have waited, but my babysitting tokens ran out at 11pm.
Surprisingly the parking structure wasn’t that full, so there was a glimmer of hope when I pulled in, but I saw this the second I walked up.
One more for good measure.
So I left to go get dinner with my tail between my legs at Pick Up Stix where the Orange Peel Chicken was super spicy and where I listened to the In Rainbows album on my phone……

You are too funny. I instantly pictured the movie Shallow Hal when you left with your tail between your legs. The part towards the end when Jason Alexander reveals his dog tail!
